I'm in McHenry, but *should* be at the mazda rev it up thing at arlington racecourse this saturday. Also, organizing meets is the worst thing this area is good for. I'll keep an eye out for you, though!

the rx7 meets are slow to come by here.. but theres a club in the area that meets weekly thats made up of supra's, 240s, some 7s basicly any RWD/AWD japanese sports cars. its JGTCA.com, a few of us here go to the meets once and awhile.

this is the event where you can go and drive all their cars and some competitors' cars too? i did that with tom and ming a year or two ago and it was a ton of fun. got warned for driving too aggresively

no, that was GM thing. nevermind, i'm losing my mind.

go to jgtca.com, go to the forums and look in the general meet topic. we have a few different spots, all in the NW burbs, it changes everyweek depending on how the members vote.

i just got back from the Zoom Zoom live thing at the race track........TON OF FUN! yes they do encourage you to drive aggressively ("noisy tires are happy tires"). I only had time to do one event though and it was the RX-8 course. It was a mini instructional class and they you get in a 8 with a instructor and they give you tips to maximizing speed all while keeping it stable and getting a fast time. Too bad they only limit you to 2 laps....but the difference between my 1st lap and 2nd lap(after i got pointers) was amazing.

Its still going on today till 5:45 i think. I spotted 1 red FD, 1 10th anniversary FC, and another white FC in the parking lot
