I agree with that Eric. I also feel that we should have meets more often, possibly 3 or 4 this spring/summer. The location isnt a big deal to me, I just offered my place since I havent before.

So it seems that Saturday May 23 is the day. Does anyone have any known plans for that day? I know by agreeing with Eric I am saying set a date and leave it but its far enough out now that unless someone doesnt say something within the next few days then the date will be set for sure. As far as my house or the park in Washington I could honestly care less.

okay. so we got the 23rd. thats may, right?
now, what time? (lets get the easy stuff out of the way before we work on location)
11:00? noon? later? earlier?

for what its worth, i really enjoyed our meet at buffalo wild wings. no one had to worry themselves with bringing food, and everyone could get what they want.
so, lunch time then?

+1 to that
that made things a lot easier, no pavilions to reserve is nice too

anyone think maybe we should make our way to Cordova after the meet? i think its a lil more than an hour drive from iowa city and then then we have a safe place to do some runs etc.

their schedule isn't posted for that sat yet, but just a thought.

Cordova has a friday night fun night and a midnight mayhem may 22 the day before the meet as of now the 23 is TBD.

Brian and I will probably end up going to the fun night and watching the midnight mayhem if anyone else from out of town wants to come down I have plenty of room at my house if you dont want to make the drive afterwards.

Midnight Mayhem is where I first saw Jason run the FD when he brought Eric along. It's usually a fun time going there and watching the cars run even if you don't have something to run.

Yeah whatever you guys want to do is fine with me. In town here is a pretty good mexican place with plenty of seating available. It wouldnt be a big deal to reserve seats. Id just tell them one of the many times between now and then that Angie and I go there.

As for Cordova, Im pretty much always game for running the FB. Not sure if I went to MM how late I would stay. Of course, it would be alot easier crashing at S&B's.

Back to the meet - No need to reserve a pavillion. In all reality if the pavillions are used when we show up we can always park somewhere else. Its really not a big deal. Anyways, enough rambling from me.

You may or may not have heard about Eddyville. They have 1/8 mile strip there. Eddyville is about 20 minutes or so past Ottumwa. Cordova on the other hand is 1/4 mile so its obviously better lol. There is another place by Waterloo but cant remember name of the track.

The one over by Waterloo is Earlville, which is also a 1/4 mile track but it sucks. Cordova is the nicest track around here I think.

So is May 23rd the date we're shooting for then?

Earlville track is pretty nice too but you gotta slow down fast.

You get a lot of runs in since it's not as busy.

I went there and could almost circle around the track back to the start line.....

I am in need of the following:

Windshield trim pieces on the left and right side. Must be in great shape.

Sunroof trim. Must be in great shape.

Drivers side door trim. It is the trim that sits at the bottom of the window on the exterior of the door. Must be in great shape.

You can call/PM/email me.

Good luck with that.

My recommendation is just to buy new.

The windshield peices come in a kit and is pretty common/cheap think the acutal hardware is like 60 bucks.

The door trim pieces are called belt moldings. I want to say I priced them at ~80 each.
