This is the problem guys, ive been working on my rx7 for a bit too long for my taste. I had to replace the front crossmember and steering rack and radiator...it sat through the winter and now im running into every brick wall possible. I havent been around rotarys for too long and am looking for more rotary savy people around the kc metro to meet and get to know. I know there were meets at smp in the past but that was before i had my fc. Tryin to get some of us together soon since its starting to be driving season...sorry for the long *** post

This is the facebook page where a lot of the KC people check in. Unfortunately I'm way out in the sticks, so getting to KC is a rather infrequent event.

 

How far out i the sticks? I know a couple guys that live a bit out. Ill be moving to eudora/lawrence area soon since i just got a job at BNSF in topeka. But i may still go out to some of the bigger get togethers. Ive seen two 7's in lawrence and id imagine some have got to be in topeka

 

10 miles out of Great Bend. I've only ever seen one other running RX7 around here, and that only the one time. There are quite a few good guys in the KC area and a few in the Lawrence and Topeka area. I did get to meet some of them when I made a meet at Shawnee Mission Park last year.

 

I used to live out in hutchinson, i only met one guy that had a runnin rx7. My buddy's brother had a first gen that he sold to that first guy cuz he hit a pole. The only other rx7 had a shitty *** sbc that was slow as amish turds

 

I feel your pain man, I'm in Salina and I am running into every possible issue with my car. Unfortunately I don't have any rotary shops or other RX owners nearby to talk to for help, at least in KC you have a few shops and a base of people for help.

 

Have you tried salina tech? I know that most of the guys out there are honda **** but you could get lucky

Yeah I have, I actually went to Salina Tech about 8 or so years ago for collision repair. I still know a handful of people there but they don't know anything rotary. Hopefully this summer I will have more free time to work on my RX and maybe I can learn enough to be able to help out some others

 

I almost went to salina tech. I went to hutchinson instead because they offered me a scholorship...people out that way arent too fond of rotarys beating their slowstangs...haha

 

Im in manhattan and I have a 3rd gen. I just finished putting back together. Should see out and about in a week or two. I may be able to make it to the lawrence area to you a hand some time. I dont lending a to fellow rotary lovers

 

Im about ready to haul it down to neosho, mo so that kyle can get it running again. I just need to figure out the getting there part. Im ready to run myself over with my rx7. Haha. But im always down to meet fellow 7 owners and hang out anytime

I added you on Facebook. I was just in lawrence about a month ago for a concert at the grenada. I just got my car to start, but I've still got a decent size coolant leak and my afm is unresponsive so I can't drive it anywhere. I'll hit you up if I need a hand thanks

I'm ok with traveling as far as Lawrence but I can't drive a whole lot further. My RX is leaking coolant like crazy so I won't be driving it until I get it patched so ill probably just take my daily driver. If you guys want to swap numbers I'm game but we probably should do so via private message so the whole world doesn't get our numbers haha

Your best bet might be salina or witchita, maybe even hutchinson. But your way out there man

 

Yeah I know I just got my 7, and have never seen one around here or anywhere close. if you guys from kc want to swap #s with me I'm game. I have school up there a couple times a month and would like to see the sites and hang out.
