Question Is it that hard to find an RX7 in the Midwest?

I am trying desperately to find an RX-7 within a reasonably distance of Chicago. Are there any places special to look(besides here, autotrader and cars.com)?

I have three requirements. 1) Must run ok, 2) Must be drivable and 3) Must be manual. I would take a second gen over a first.

I have about a 1500 dollar budget possibly a bit more.

I am currently waiting to see if one guy can iron out the problems with his second gen.

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

$1500 isn't going to buy much. Keep an eye out here in the For Sale area and get to know the people at www.chicagorotary.com. If people know what you are looking for, they may remember you when something comes up.

I had to shop around for about 2 months before I found one that was too good to pass up. Keep your eye on cars.com becaue they also list the local newspaper classified ads.

Found mine on auto trader.com. You can set the parameters on there as far as distance and cost etc. Also ebay.
