The Grand Rapids, Michigan Thread

Figured I'd start a thread to pass the word on local get-togethers and such...

I plan to be around the house this weekend, putzing around in the garage.

Hit me up if anyone wants to help me drink all this beer....

If you're in Grand Rapids, I can only assume you are drinking Founders beer! One of my favorite breweries...

A founder sounds good. I may have to get some or Dragon Slayer from TriCity Brewery... I am hoping to put my coilovers in this weekend.

Got a bit done on the GSL this weekend, but not much.

I'm looking for a very nice condition red hood and front fenders ('85) if anybody spots them in a junkyard or something.

I'm on Byron Center Ave, just north of 28th St. Right by Lamar Park. Got a red GSL sitting in the driveway right now.

It is funny you made a thread, Mark. I was going to PM you and tell you there is a Sienna at LKQ if you need any parts for your wife's van (if you still have it).

There is also a gold base HARDTOP S4 RX-7 at LKQ that is mostly complete. If I still had my FC I would be doing a roof swap.

Thanks Jeff. We actually replaced the Previa with an allroad last year.

Yeah, Previa. I remember the All Road now. There is one of those at LKQ, too. It still has the air bags if you want another set.

Hmm, already got the suspension taken care of. Can't really think of anything that I need for the allroad (hard to believe, I know, since it's an Audi).

I could use a set of springs for my '98 328i though if you happen to see any of those around...

RX7 owners in GR are like woodchucks. Hibernate all winter and poke their nose out when the grass is 4 inches high! If anyone is looking for a nice 88 NA, I have one for sale. Need to liquidate some assets to finish the TII.

Wish there were more rotary owners in the Lansing area . Although it looks like most of the events I'll be attending this season are over that way so I'm sure I'll bump into you guys per usual lol.

I grew up in Lakeview, just a little north. Went to school in GR. I get back every once in a while.

I was just talking with Brett a couple of days ago (Rotor-motor), telling him we should have a gathering sometime this year. I've got an awesome backyard, like an acre of landscaped parkland, great for camping and bonfires (yes, right in the city!). Got about 9 cars last time I did this a few years ago. Bet we could double that if we tried again.

Maybe a weekend with a 2-day autocross event? Race/bonfire party/race type weekend? See if we can drag a couple of the Canadians over? It's got the makings of a good time written all over it.
