I've got Nealand and Richard's numbers, they were pretty ascited about going again. Couple other people to tap as well, we'll come up with a little something. Hopefully we get a near-open track, going early. How many times have you been out there, Hankmeister? What kinda time ya run?

Been thinking about changing it up, or making it more of a "race" than just everyone shooting for the fastest lap time. If we can get enough people for it:
First race is qualification/warm-up, then we line up in an inverted field based on your first race's fastest lap time (fastest person starts at the back of the pack and vice versa). We all stay in single-file formation for the first lap, then you're allowed to punch it once you cross the start line, or when the flag waves, if we can get one of the workers to do it right. Then we just run it like a real race, without punting one another.
Only question is, what about the all-too-common situation where you're faster than the person in front of you, but they block or hold the inside line just to keep you from passing? I'll give them a couple little taps in the straights after a corner, to let them know I'm going a good deal faster then they are, but after a lap or two of waiting, something's gotta give. I try to "move people out of the way" as nicely as possible, but there are a lot of people who will just slam into you. This only causes anger and sometimes injuries, and is totally an unnecessary passing technique.
So if we want to race like fancy lads, we'll just have to coordinate a little bit. I think it'd make it even more a blast, having more of a real "race" format to it. But the way it is, every time I'm in line waiting to get out of the pits, it seems like someone in front of me takes their sweet time, and by the time I hit the first right-hander, the leader is long gone. Or let me know if I'm putting more thought into this than most of ye are even interested in. Hooah.

Richard called me this weekend, wanting to go, but I was moving and busy all weekend. The swap meet in Lawrence is this weekend, planning on going to that early Saturday, but I'd be down for going to Sadler's that evening or early Sunday, like last time.

Hi guys,
I've got a non-running 1991 NA FC that I'm going to junk unless I can find someone who wants it for parts. There are a lot of aftermarket parts on it, and some 4:30 gears. I just don't have the time or space to rebuild the engine, so it has got to go. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Derek
