I keep forgetting about this 21 BS in the US, everyone gets a license to drink booze in Australia at 18.

I remember when I first got here, driving around Ft Wankel at night, stopped to get gas (petrol) and put my open beer on the car roof while I gassed up. My wife and friend went nuts, I said, "What?" They then told me about open container laws, etc.... And this is a free country.

We got threatened with arrest in Florida for opening a beer 20 feet behind out hotel on the beach. And I'm no kid, I'm 42.

In Australia you can drink a beer while driving so long as you are not over the limit. You can drink in any public place unless it is specifically posted as a non drinking locale.

This is a great country but you are not as free as you think, we don't even have social security numbers.

 

yea there are alot of bullshit laws here but there is nothing we can do about it. but where would a good place to meet at. so us young guys could attend
