Looking for other RX-7 owners to join me in the Superior WI 4th of July Car Show. Its Free.

Anyone from the Northern WI/MN area?

 

Is there gonna be anything fantastically cool there? You know the St. Paul auto show start tomarrow, right? I'm gonna be there in the afternoon and hoepfully find some rotary goodness.

 

I'm a few hours from Superior (I live by Minocqua). Probably couldn't make it for the 4th, but it's nice to see another WI person

 

We exsist, just not on here it seems.

I think it would be great to have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen and maybe an RX-8.

I'm going to contact the Mazda dealer in Duluth about bringing over an RX-8 or finding a local owner that will.

 

I might be interested. I live near minneapolis but love to drive my fd.

There is me here in Bemidji with a few 2nd gens, Jeremy who has a quick TII in Fargo, and I have a friend (bit of a dick and doesn't know too much about the wankel ;o) in Detroit Lakes, he owns a GXL and an FD (FD is pretty but to much show, not enough go for the price he paid).

Hopefully my TII will be ready by then, or the near stock SE ;o.

 

haha I have talked to that guy, him or one of his friends asked me what kind of engine I had and I said 13b-REW and without even popping the hood he said no its a 13b-RE. I just laughed at him.

 

Just found out they are planning the car show for Wednesday July 6th. This makes little sense if any at all. On the 4th everyone is off of work and downtown already. It was a natural to go to the parade and then the car show. The guy running the car show and his group have regular gatherings on the first wednesday of the month (guess the car show is for them and not the people that might come to look at the cars?).

I told a couple 4th of July committe members, "so what if their regular meeting is on wednesdays?". A few members of the mustage club and others are still interested in the afternoon of the 4th. Could be something in the works for the 4th still. I'll keep everyone posted. This is just stupid.

Yeah ignore him, hes an OK guy but he doesn't know as much as he claims. He doesn't know what an RE engine is other then what I have told him. He makes big claims and everything also, ignore him. I should show you his old CRX that he sold my friend that I bought. Hackjob galore.

 

lol yeah I kinda blew it off. It kinda got to me a lil bit cuz he did that in front of a lot of people, but oh well. He seems to mean well thou, but if he’s gonna go around makin accusations about stuff he knows nothin about, and callin bullshit on people he should actually know his **** before he does it. Just my .02. Yeah man we should meet up sometime when I am in DL, (I am guessing you live there) and shoot the ****, its hard to find other rotary heads in the area. The other guy here in Fargo that owns a R1 FD, is kinda an ******* at times, but every since he bought his car he has lightened up a bit. He’s learning his **** thou. Come up to me next time you see me in DL.

Ya whats going on in Fargo this place is now crawling with FDs. They probably out number the FBs and the FCs. I know of 3 in Fargo and the 1 in D.L. As far as turbo IIs in Fargo I have not seen any but mine. I know there used to be a black TII and a bluish silver one but I have not seen them for like 2 yrs or more. Oh ya there is a guy in GF with a FD to. I remember when there was only like 1 around. Oh well just weird seeing all these FDs in this area. Hell pretty soon they will be as common as those DMSs and Honda civics. Oh well I think Spoolin has the nicest one by far though. Either way we all need to get together for cruise one of these days I have motor I will need to put some miles on and break it in.

I got the SE going into the shop to get my minor accident taken care of, then Ill come down to D.L. again and we'll all chill :o. Sounds awesome guys.


FYI: That kid that was giving you crap spoolin, he put ATF in his motor and he's now mad that he's lost nearly all compression. He put in ATF because he thought it was flooded.

 

4th of July car show will be on Wednesday July 6th in the evening. Makes it kind of hard for anyone from out of town.

Arrowhead Sports Car Club is looking into a car show in Superior WI in mid June. (Saturday or Sunday). Nothing on the web site yet as the date has not been set. http://www.arrowheadscc.org/
