Do N/As have any value beyond scrap metal around here?

I'm just idly curious.

I have a 140WHP 88SE, with a SAFC-II, working AC, no emissions, rebuilt motor with 25k miles run on premix it's entire life, etc.

I've been trying to sell it for close to a year. Price started around bluebook ($2900), is now down around $1800, and I've had zero interest. Period. It doesn't have a turbo, therefore it's worthless. I'm a grad student, and I can't really afford to do the suspension/etc, so I'd just like the money for now.

Has the bottom completely fallen out of the NA '7 market? Or am I just not advertising in the right places?

Russ is a good guy, among other ways he's helped me out, today he drove my beater 323 home as I enjoyed my new '7 with the roof and windows open. So buy his car, he needs to eat!

1 hit from posting on Ames/DSM, and he wanted to try and trade something that was a whole lot cheaper for it. That's it.

What's up Russ? dude if I could sell my subaru and justify driving a rx7 year round I would totally buy your car and use it as a daily. I can justify that the engine is very strong in this car for a stock port n/a

Which is why nobody wants it. No magic snail. Not capable of making 350hp. So scrap metal.

the market is still there, you just have to find it. for example, today my buddy went down to chicago to buy an ok condition 91 N/A for 2K, and 2 weeks ago i nabbed a good condition 86 N/A that sat for 6 years for $250. i wouldn't mind picking up another FC, especially a good running one, but i have too many cars (honestly dont even have room for the 86 i just got). I recommend trying craigslist (thats where my buddy found his 91). good luck

carsoup.com for the twin cities area in Minnesota - $25 and you can run the ad forever as long as you keep remembering to renew it. Worked for me with past cars for sale.

have you tried www.thepartstrader.com ? Hell at this point you could probably get more if you parted it out. yahoo classifieds might be a good place too. By all means though don't scrap it!

I'm a bit hesitant to part it out - from what I can tell, that's a great way to end up with a garage full of parts and a shell nobody wants, instead of just a car nobody wants.

I live in Kalamazoo, Mi. and I listed my car, and within the first day I had elevendy billion offers. And at that time, the car had almost nothing done to it. But I decided to keep it.
