Okay we guys in Fort Wayne are looking to throw our first annual spring meet...
there will be a cookout, cruise and dinner

Since the Revolution is April 23-25... AND we are using that as our dead-line to have all the cars back together. .... We are looking at either May 1st or 8th. depending on which one does NOT fall on a Local AutoX day.

lets get everyone on here to post some ideas about what festivities will be..


I am thinking the last venue worked well.... btu I am sure we can get more of us to participate, since there are more of us...

OH And i extend an open invite to the Michigan and Indy folks, as well as CHris from teh Bansai.

Maybe we could co-ordinate this with a drag race deal, or some sorta competition..

Maybe a Dyno day... If there is interest, I can work on that..

Just a note (sorry for the thread drift):

The MI club will roll right through Ft Wankel on their way down to the revo. You guys should get in touch with Mazdamanda and figure when they plan to arrive in town. I think they even stop there for some snacks and gas.

 

I said I was in last time and couldn't make it, but I'll make a note of it this time.

 

ya the michigians stopped here last year on the way to RR . NOTE 25+ rotary powered vehicles going down the highway is ORGASMIC

WHile we are at it, why don't we Start plans for our fall meet... on Sept 24...

AND we can team-up to be the "event Chairs" for the Solo #7 (eg, RX-7) on the next day, September 25, we can call the even something like:
the Fort Wankel Rotary Invitational...

And INVITE all the neighboring rotary folks to join us.

I used to be the regions solo director so I know all that needs to be done.

I need everyone to give me some feedback on this... so I can talk to the current Solo Director (Todd) to get it reserved for us

WE can ask George Russell (RX-7 ITS Driver) to design/help design the course for us, if we don't. It is an inclusion thing.. I'd really like to see George on track again, and I know he doesn't like the Usual CP courses. They are fun, but not really challenging.

I have some other ideas... we can discuss at length.

the big thing is, the weekend prior to the Rev.... there is an AUTOX, which just moved deadlines forward, and gives us a test and tune venue.
