Would be great to see some other rotaries, especially 7's at this year's Cruise to the Woods. For those not familiar, there are six or eight cruise "legs" that come from all corners of Iowa, northern Missouri and southern Minnesota. All converge (after 2 or 3 "rest stops" to collect more cars) on Ft. Dodge Ia...roughly in the middle of the state. Total number from all legs is usually around 1500-1800. I've gone for the last 4 yrs. Just something about being in a line of 200-300 really cool cars going down the highway on a nice early fall day. Cars include something for everyone's taste, but I'd sure like to see more 7's this year. ---->

I think they're out there. Present company excepted I don't think many locals come on this forum. I posted hoping to get the attention of some owners from near those other cruise legs...including northern Missouri and southern Minnesota.
You going Rick? LS3 in yet? Should have called you. Sorry. Brother and I are going and staying the night in Ft. Dodge doing that "old guy thing" killing a good cigar and a few cold ones. Another guy from my work with a LE1 is a maybe.

Yeah, just recently drove to Geneva and back and it seems like it was ~ 7 hrs with normal stops from Omaha. And Des Moines/Ft. Dodge is about 2 hours away. But just in case remember...picking up one of the cruise legs is much closer.

Looks like two legs originate in MN...from Fairmont or Albert Lea

Thanks for the map Jim. Yeah, I don't trust the new one to make that trek and back just yet. I need a few hundred miles to work out some nuances. Just work up an S4 that has been parked and sleeping for 20 years.

I can see the fun in the "old guy thing". I think the spectators on the corner enjoy the cruise more than the drivers.

Nah, I'm not very camera friendly from either side. The only thing I have is a couple of pictures still on my phone. And I got a FB message about this picture they take of everyone as they enter the event center....

Figured I'd bump up this thread for this year's cruise in hopes of seeing some other rotaries. 2015 Cruise Flyer Page 1 - WC Cruisers

Yeah Rick. My brother and I, along with a friend Terrence with the yellow 1LE are going. Probably stay the night, have some dinner, kill a beer or two and drive back the next day.
