College Avenue, running into other rotary guys.
Was out for a drive tonight, decided to see what was going on downtown.
Turned onto the ave and the first thing I saw was FD taillights, parked on the side. I went around the block, saw a guy checking out my car as well. I parked, we talked for awhile...both rotary n00bs.
Mike, your name isn't flyin296 on here...lol...I dunno what it is. Hopefully you see this.
Anyways, he had a 3" exhaust and it put a huge smile on my face when he revved to redline...gave me more ambition to get my turbo swap done. He was running mid 13's at 100 today, even though he kept missing third gear and it's pretty warm.
It was pretty awesome running into another rotary owner that A) Knew what he was driving, and knew what I was driving, and B) wasn't an *******. So many times I'll see an RX8 or whatever on the highway and I'll try and wave to them or something and they have no idea what I'm driving (debadged FC) (no, I didn't debadge it). For example, an RX-8 drove past...had HID's, wheels, tint, and a stereo, and he didn't even notice the two previous generations of rotaries parked on the side of the road.
So what about you guys? Ever accidently run into another owner? Do you find the majority to be tards or cool?

yeah, its a pain in the *** finding fellow local rotorheads that aren't stuck up, much less even finding them at all. which downtown were you at? madison, platteville, ...?
so far for me its a half and half mix between cool and "doesnt know what the hell they're talking bout". i have yet to meet any FD owners, but ive met a couple of FB and FC owners and 2 rx-8 guys. luckily for me i work at a tire store so an Rx owner is bound to show u sooner or later

There are really a lot of rx7's in the se wisconsin area. I know of 3 other fd owners within a mile of my house, unfortunately only 2 of us actually use our cars on a regular basis. I see rx8, fc and fb's driving around quite a bit as well. The rx community is just tough to get together around here for some reason. Even the midwest rotary rally's at road america are mostly "out of towners".
