I am about an hour SE of Madison and have a 93 CYM, 87 TII, and an 83 GSL. A group tour of the Southern Kettle Moraine (or Northern for that matter) could be a blast!

mxrx37 12-12-12 10:34 AM

MB FD In Fond du Lac. Currently In hibernation would be in for meet and cruise next season up for anything. Scheduling around a Road America event in Elkhart lake wi is always a great time it's seems with the amount of interest in this thread someone should get the ball rolling any takers ? :)

Sgt.Stinkfist 12-12-12 06:50 PM

Ill bite, Ive been trying to get the Wisconsin Rx owners to get together, and it would be awesome if even a few of us could at least meet for any of the many different track days or AutoX's (ive become tired of being the only rotary powered anything showing up)

BTW, MxRx37, your in a good location. I see you are close-ish Shawano and Wausau. The "Central Wisconsin Sports Car Club" and "Fox Valley Sports Car club" , both host Autox events at USAIR, and recently the owner of "Wausau Homes" has been hosting/competing in some epic Autox's in their massive parking lot. Im personally planning on competing in many of these in the 2013 season... The Sarge needs some trophies ;)

Nymphosaurus 01-15-13 11:23 PM

Has anyone here had any past experiences with Kelly-Moss Motorsports in Madison?

Sgt.Stinkfist 01-16-13 01:08 AM

Ive mounted tires for them, but thats about it. You looking to use their dyno or have them build something for ya?

Nymphosaurus 01-16-13 10:41 AM

Fine tuning and I need them to drill a hole for water injection

diablone 01-16-13 06:49 PM

I've had minor service done there and they did a great job and a fair price. I also know several people who have had minor to major amounts of service there and speak highly of it. Just make sure to call and discuss it with them first, as their primary focus is on racing and it can cause slight delays.

Turn1First 01-22-13 08:25 PM

Snobby Porsche people describes them well however they are serious racers and technically highly competent and knowledgeable. A company I formerly worked with did some engineering projects with them. For the most part I was impressed with their operation.

Hi. Noob to the forum from lacrosse. Im currently looking for a fc turbo but thats for another post. I know 1 rx7 owner in lacrosse and he said there are a few other rx7 owners in lacrosse. Id like to know who the others are and we can chat or something.

Spirit-RE 03-16-13 09:32 PM

So...... Wisconsin meet this year?

rotorhead_izzy 03-16-13 10:40 PM

I'm game, or you guys can come to an Autox event

Sgt.Stinkfist 03-17-13 12:24 AM

Thats my plan. im planning to get several events done in Wausau area, some in Milwaukee and perhaps the MAP proving grounds (Would be awesome to not be the only Rx-7 in attendance ;) )

rotorhead_izzy 03-17-13 12:34 AM

Yes I know the feeling of being the only 7 out there. At least this year there will be a FD along with my Fc in mke

stauren1203 03-29-13 01:01 PM

Anyone with FD knowledge willing to lend a hand? I'm having turbo issues. I've done the readings and I understand that the issues are usually not the turbo itself and relatively easy to diagnose, but I will happily admit I'm not smart enough. I can supply funds/refreshments if needed.

Thanks guys

BTW I would have made a new thread but this seems like it is where WI people talk.

rotorhead_izzy 03-29-13 02:43 PM

What's the issue?

stauren1203 03-30-13 12:06 PM

Major boost leak on primary, but before that, I wasn't getting anything from my secondary

rotorhead_izzy 03-30-13 12:51 PM

Had a similar issue on my friends FD. Check The line that goes to the pressure chamber and runs to the turbo control actuator.

stauren1203 05-04-13 05:15 PM

I got it all cleared up. There is a member on here who lives somewhat near me who offered to fix it for me... what a guy :)

red_ricer 05-04-13 05:41 PM

Automotion meet this year?

rotorhead_izzy 05-05-13 09:02 AM

I may be going this year, anybody else thinking of going?

stauren1203 05-06-13 10:17 AM

If I still have mine, I will try and make it up at least 1 day that weekend. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to make it on the 18th though.

stauren1203 05-29-13 09:21 AM

Anyone go to Automotion? Any pics?

zaridar 06-05-13 10:50 PM

A few of my friends went.. Ill see what pics I can get..

erx8ik 06-09-13 11:39 PM

Hey everybody!

Glad to see some more Wisconsinites driving around RE vehicles! I see a few of you who are looking to get together for some group events. Are you aware of the RX Club of Wisconsin? We are not RX-7 specific, but rather welcome all rotary powered vehicles. We have quite a list of events planned for the summer, and would love to have you join us! I saw one of you posted about a drive through the Southern Kettle. We actually just did that this past weekend! We did a group drive over about 100 miles that took us through the Southern Kettle, which is an absolute blast to run our corner-hungry Mazdas on!
