FYI - this event is in Osseo, MN (NW suburb in Twin Cities). 23rd Annual Vintage Foreign Car Show. It is a FREE event open to 1993 or older foreign cars. 10 AM - 3 PM rain or shine. First come, first parked. Groups wishing to park together must arrive en-masse.

Should be fun. Would be great to have the "7"s represented. Post here and PM me or archapil if you are interested in caravanning out there with us.

Phhh...420 miles. 6 hours if you don't take chances, 5 if you do. Come on up!

We need an FD to park between our two FCs...we need some color. Both of ours are white.

^^Nice pics. Any more info on that '79 for sale. Looks like it could be a Sonic Bronze car. So, no FDs showed? I grew up in Buffalo, MN (about an hour West of Osseo). If I still lived there I would definitely have been all over this event! Thanks for sharing pics.

Thanks...It was great to meet Mike and we both sure had a lot of fun comparing our FCs and checking out all the other cool "toys" that were there.

We talked with the owner for a little bit. The car was very clean both inside and out w/normal wear and tear to the interior merely due to it's age. It was very low miles though. Don't remember the exact total but was under 40k and he said he was only the second owner. He claimed it has never seen snow/salt and it sure looked that way to us. Didn't see a hint of rust anywhere.

I'll go back to the RAW files on my DSLR and hook it up to the big TV to see if I can make out that phone # if you want? Pic shows the car well but there was lots of glare on the For Sale sign and it had a very small, faded phone #. PM me if you want me to try to track down that #. Kicking myself for not taking another shot of just the For Sale sign.

No. Didn't see any FDs. Our two FCs were the only ones there and the only FB was the one for sale. I think it was primarily geared at older Europen cars. There were MGs, Triumphs, Jags and Austin Healys everywhere. A smattering of Citroens, Lotus, old Volvos, old Porsches, etc. Everyone was very nice to us and we had lots of people checking out our 7s.

But it was advertised for 1993 model year and older so only the very first year of "stateside" FDs were technically eligible at this event. A shame as I would have liked to have seen some FDs there too.

But as time passes on that's a great excuse to go again as more FDs will qualify every year.

Ah the benefits of a DSLR with a nice lens. I blew that FB picture up to 15x original size, tracked over to the For Sale sign and viewed on the big HDTV. Phone # was crystal clear. Try that on your "smart" phone camera! lol. Let me know if you want it.

Sign also said 1979 Mazda RX-7 and 28,000 miles.
