I just saw this on another site (NOTFWD.com) This looks like it should be a good turn out as well as for a really good cause. I know its a little of a short notice but I just found out about it myself. Its just another way to get out there and meet some good people.

Hey guys how are you. I am new to the site but a long time RWD owner. My Name is Dave, I am a member of ChicagoZ and a coworker of CDW. I have known PhlypSide (TY) for quite some time now, and hever never just logged on here to join or post. But I really wanted to bring this to anyone and everyone's attention in the Chicagoland area. My company CDW is hosting our 1st Annual CDW Car Show for Kids Event for the Children's Memorial Hospital. The info is below:

Date: July 22nd, day after the SP meet,
Time: from 9am-3pm
Location: 200 N. Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills, IL. 60061 (our warehouse BIG lot!)
Entry Fees: Show Participation is $20; Spectators is $5 per car (car pool). All proceeds to be donated to CMH.
Pre-Meet Location: Rosemont Chili's 8:30am, Cruise to CDW at 9:00am.

Please not much of the information was copied and pasted from the post i did for ChiacgoZ so bare with me.

Registration begins at 9am and ends at 1pm when they do the ballot count. And winners will be announced at 2:30pm. The show is for all make and models classic and custom. Awards are handed out for top 2 entries per class. I do not know yet what the entries are, I am waiting on a list.

Guys I think this will be a great event to participate in. Not only are we participating in giving to the community and a great casue, but we are also gaining good publicity with this. I'm sure all of us can pop out $20 for a great cause. Instead of having a meet where we all hang out and just parking lot pimp, wouldn't it be cool to show of our cars, club, and show support?

This is going to be geared more as a family event. And the turn out out for spectators should be pretty big (CDW does not mess around). That being said, I don't think they have a minimum qualifiaction for the type of car entering. So I am sure there will be some muscle, some rice, average cars, exotic, oldies, etc. So that being said, I don't think they will care that your car is stock, they are just interested in the support and the turn out.

I wanted to know who would be interested in participating in this event. From ChicagoZ, we already have about 20 car interested in going and donating. I would like to see if members from NOTFWD would be willing to particiapte as well.

The memebers of ChicagoZ will be premeeting for a cruise. If the members of NOTFWD wish to join us you are all more than welcome too. We will be meeting for the Pre-meet and Cruise at the Chili's in Rosemont at 8:30am. W will leave PROMPTLY at 9am to cruise to CDW in Vernon Hills. It is about a 30 minute drive, so it should put us there right around 9:30am. I know it starts at 9am, I don't know about you guys, but I do not want to be the first ones there. The cruise directions are below:

Begin: Rosemont Chilis, 7140 Mannheim Rd
Rosemont, IL 60018-3620

1. Head south on Mannheim Rd/US-12/US-45 toward Lunt Ave 0.7 mi

2. Turn right at W Higgins Rd/IL-72 0.7 mi

3. Merge onto I-90 E/NW Tollway via the ramp to Chicago

4. Take the I-294 N/Tri-State exit toward Milwaukee

5. Merge onto I-294 N

6. Merge onto I-94 W

7. Take the Town Line Rd/IL-60 exit 0.3 mi

8. Turn left at IL-60/Townline Rd 2.3 mi

9. Turn left at IL-21/N Milwaukee Ave 0.8 mi

End: CDW, 200 N. Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills, IL. 60061
