I really need a professional job done on my exhaust, but the shops around here (Mount Pleasant, MI) want $200+ to make me a pipe to go from my manifold to the muffler. I didn't pay much for the car, wasn't hoping to throw that much into an exhaust. I told them the cat "mysteriously disappeared" and the pipe was cobbled back together, so I was looking for something not cobbled, preferably without the cat still. Was just curious if anyone around Michigan knew of a shop that would do it cheaper, or someone that had the ability to do it themself that would be willing to help out a fellow ReXer.

By the way, it is a 83 GS with the original 12a

 

If the original exhaust system included a cat, then they won't touch your car unless you replace the missing cat. In Michigan, there are big fines if they do otherwise. You might be able to find somebody "shady" enough to do it though...

 

Yes, b/c its "illegal" to remove your cat... If you were in Ft. Lauderdale, I can help you.. I know the perfect shop.
