Angry Anyone from Chicago willing to help?

I just got my car back from the shop a few weeks ago and was looking at the wiring they did for my additional fuel pump and noticed that there were several wires that had burnt from shorting out and so now the wire itself is exposed. So I had replaced the wires one at a time eliminating the bad spots. I can't say for sure if both fuel pumps were working before because of how much bad wiring there was but now when I turn the ignition key forward you can really hear those pumps working.

My problem now is that since I started messing with it the car wont start. I thought I had put all the wires back the way they were but obviously not. It cranks and cranks but nothing happens. I had another person crank it for me while I checked my fuel pressure gauge on the fuel pressure regulator and it has no pressure at all, so needless to say the car wont start because its not getting any fuel.

My first question is, could I have accidentally switched 2 wires on the pumps so now the pumps are running in reverse kind of like they are sucking instead of pumping. I thought this because like a fan, if you connect the wires one way it will push and if you wire them another way the fan will pull. Can anybody help me try and figure out how the wiring should go?
My next question is, if you try and help me and we can figure it out over the forum or phone would somebody from the Chicago area be willing to come by and help me rewire the 2 pumps?

Any help here guys would be great
Thanks!

pumps

first off if that was my woman, you would be dead.
second, if you ran the wires individually then you should get fuel.
did you change the hoses?
disconnect the hose from the fuel filter and crank, maybe its clogged.

check all fuses, ALL OF THEM. ok got excited.

go from there

then give me a call at 773-896-3355 Tony
