Wondering if there are any rotorheads at U of I (Univ. of IL), in Urbana/Champaign, IL. I'm here for another month, and figured I'd love to meet some local rotorheads if there are any. I saw a light green/teal? FB the other day near the mall IIRC, but that's pretty much the only rotary I've seen since I got here a month or so ago.

+1. I dropped off my Silverstone '93 FD at A-Spec Monday morning (sorry for the unexpected drop-off, Sean). I talked to Steve there, who was very cool, and he showed me around. If you love FDs like I do, you'll enjoy the visit. By my count, there had to be approximately 10 there.

Marco and vel525, I didn't bring my car w/ me (too far a drive from VA...like 13 hours lol). I flew in to Chicago O'Hare, came down to Urbana w/ friends, so I'm not exactly mobile That's why I was wondering if there was anyone here locally. But I was originally planning to meet up w/ Christian (Railgun69) and Brandon (oorx7) before I leave, so I'm thinking since I'm flying out of O'Hare on the way back anyway, I might spend a day or two up in Chicago before I leave...prob the first few days of April.

Well, I'm sure someone will be willing to give you a ride to and from the meet, etc. so you can meet some of the local guys. Oh, you're from VA. Near DC? I may be moving down near DC in the fall.

Yeah, there are not too many RX-7's around here. I have recently seen a red S5 Turbo II on campus (a few weeks back).

I'm crazy tight on time right now, so comin up to Chicago earlier than April is pretty much a no-go. I'm not sure exactly when I'm leaving, but the plan is the very beginning of April, give or take a few days (maybe up to the first week of April). But I may be back a few days afterward...on the way back from Texas, so who knows

So...what do your guys' schedules look like from say, the 24th to the 28th of this month? I *should* be done on the 23rd, and was thinking of just coming up to Chicago, grabbing a hotel, and spending a few nights before flying back home. Lemme know what you guys think (good or bad timing etc).

Next weekend is out for me. I have a wedding that I'm in but during the week is OK.

 

My fiancee is coming into town on the 25th. I'd be up for meeting up for some food one night or something, but won't have a ton of time to hang out.
