5-speed swap in Illinois

Ok so I'm a moron. I made the crucial mistake of buying an auto car. I know I know I should get my head checked. Well after about a week of that nonsense I decided I need to swap in a 5 speed. So I call upon all myt fc brethren in the Illinois/ Wisconsin area to help a brother out. I have $ just lookin to see who has what filling up their garage they want to get rid of. Its a new peoject so I pretty much need everything. Got a TII laying around? I may want it. Extra set of rims? Lets see 'em. But the first thing I want to do is the pedal swap. So bring it on and thank you all in advance.

Is it a series 4 or 5 car? I may have an s4 shifter surround. I did that same thing with my car. Bought an auto, but knew I was going to be swapping it to manual and doing a whole lot more.

i bought my FC and it was an auto... all the 5-speeds were S4's and beat to **** around here. mine is an S5 and owned by an elderly man. so i jumped on it. we finished swapping it over to a 5 speed not too long ago and it went together in about a weekend. make sure you have all your parts before you begin tho.

-5 speed tranny
-pedal assembly
-shifter and bushings
-driveshaft
-clutch and flywheel
-clutch slave and master cylinders
-hard and softlines
-guage cluster if you want
-differential if you want
-shifter surround
-some others i may be missing but i think thats it.

i followed rotary resurections site on it. he has an entire writeup about it. it explains it in detail on wiring the reverse lights etc. but you will have to fabricate a bracket to hold your tranny in. i used 4'' wide channel iron that was about 8 inches long. ive beat the **** out of it and its held up fine. anywho, thats on there as well w/ the specs on what size bits to drill it with to the measurements and all.

as for the pedal assembly, just sliding out the long bolt and using the one already in your car worked best for us. the one used w/ the auto pedals has the bungs for your clutch pedal spring and all so just install your manual brake and clutch pedal along w/ the springs and youll be good.

ALSO, the $30 craftsmen socket to break the nut lose on the back of your engine. we used an impact wrench and it came right off.
