417Rotary.com October 12th Eureka Springs Fall Drive!

Ok, now is the time to start planning on your calendar cause the 2013 Eureka Springs Drive is official! This year is going to be the start of a new route and date. The route is going to start at Table Rock Dam. This is a pretty good/cool location and gives us an opportunity to congregate with the Arkansas folks for a bit before setting off to Eureka Springs. Plus it's a good middle ground for all of us to drive too for everyone around the area. The meeting spot is just east of the Dam and will be at 10am. Departure Time from the Dam will be between 11-11:30am as this gives us some time to hang out, take some pictures and just chit-chat for a bit...

Below is the new route starting at Table Rock Dam.

Once we head out the destination will be the parking lot furthest south on main street just before Van Buren Rd.

I'm sure most of us will be hungry by the time we get there, twisties always seem to do that after a while :P There are a ton of places to eat, but one we seem to always gravitate towards is the Pied Piper and I have set reservations there at 1pm. By all means feel free to roam and eat where you want.

The address is:

Here is the menu

We will be gathering back to the parking lot at 4pm to get one last group photo and say our good bye's.

In case you get separated or lost call these numbers:
Chris (417) 631-3094
Kyle (417) 629-4561

Please do bring Walkie Talkies if you have them, they add and aid in the drive. Also as a reminder to all that being a "spirit" and being "spirited" are two different things. Corners are fun a little over the speed limit, especially if your vehicle can handle it. But don't feel the need to over work you and your cars abilities. It really takes the fun out of the drive when we spend half of it pulling cars out of ditches. Or worse pulling your body out of it instead. With that being said let's have some fun and I hope to see all you there!!!!!

And a poster made for those that want to hand them out

That would be fantastic man, if you made it! Family is doing great. The baby is keeping us busy for sure. But I wouldn't change it for the world.
How are things on your end?

Welllll.........if i had to choose one word to sum it all up......hectic. Between trying to keep all the details sorted out for the build and developing a solid plan for everything to work out in order and get done in a timely fashion and all that jazz.......its no easy task. Looking at one part of the car results in new ideas/problems and all that snowballs into other problems/ideas for other parts of the car it never ends.

And then there's my job, which isn't exactly what i want to be doing right now. Although, it pays the bills and gives me the freedom for a build. So, i can't say that its all that bad. Hectic, kinda sums it up lol.

Anything new with the FD? I really wanna get together when the car is done and maybe have like a mid MO meet kinda like the fall drive, but in the spring if possible, or something to that effect. Really wanna meet The Asset and his car and catch up with you and meet some folks. The KS scene is just dead i guess, its all about KC trends and fast Fridays now really, which is a "who has the bigger dick" event, IMHO.

Glad to hear all is well with the family. Can't imagine you could ask for more, unless you guys want another little one lol.

I completely understand when it comes to life being hectic. Between my job, running our local club, working on the FD (which is never ending), constant state of house remodeling, our baby and now I just bought an RE-5 my dad and I are fixing up, I can share train of thought.

Lots of stuff with the FD I have done since the last time you saw it. You'll just have to see it again I suppose. Haha.

I would like to have a spring meet again somewhere up by Lake of the Ozarks next year. I can pretty much guarantee you'll see Stu (The Asset) among others there if we go. As a matter of fact he will be at the Fall drive coming up.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
