yeah, they make FCs in 2+2 mode.
"apparentley" you cant even fit a midget in the back seats, so they are pretty much worthless...

I saw an old Porsche 944 and a 924 in a junkyard, and they have halfway decent back seats with a really unique design. Has anyone ever tried to fit some of those into a 7?

Wow.... first of all, yes, there are 2+2 FCs and FDs. Second of all, the bins are much more helpful. And lastly, while it appears that you have succeeded in acquiring a driver's license, you seemed to have forgotten to succeed fifth grade. Please, first graduate at least grade five, of which you must at least be on your sixth year, and then buy an RX-7.

I have a white S5 2+2 I'm fixing body damage on and then selling. I honestly prefer the back seats over the bins having had both. if you're not over 5'8", you can comfortably ride in the back for about 45 minutes before you start getting cramped. And I say this from experience.

So to say they are useless is just wrong. plus it's easier to throw stuff into the back seats than into the bins.

You're just a dwarf.

The bins are just more surface for me to lay things on top of. I have a few essentials in them, spotlight, oil, coolant, spare engine, but that's it.

Also the First Gens had a back seat option for the canadian and Japanese markets. They didn't sell them in the US because Mazda couldn't get the car to pass rear end collision test with occupants in the back seat. Though a few aftermarket companies back in the day sold the rear seats to anyone who would by them.

That would be Newton, KANSAS. It's about 20-30 minutes north of Wichita on I-135.

most FDs in japan had backseats. along with most FCs.

Thread resurrection FTW.

FBs also had a 2+2 option. I believe most of the time it was for insurance reasons. A 4 seater is cheaper than a 2 seater.
