who can help me, is motech the awnser

i have been racing (road racing) rx-7s for the past 10 tears and im new to the club. im an ok mech and have qworked on just about every inch on my car, but when it comes to engine management systems im a fis out of water. recently i converted my car from ITS, a stock class to EP a class where ceating is legal. The change meant big motor mods which means that the stock ECU can no longer manage the motor. The motor pulls great between 0- 4200 rpms and 6900 - 8500 rpm but is less that perfect between 4300 and 6800 rpms. This type of drivabilty issue is not good. I have been looking at stand alone engine management systems and like what is see with the microtech system (LT8/LTX8). The problem is, i don't know what im looking at. On the surface is looks like it may do the job, but im not sure about the details of installtion and tuning. I running a 1989 street ported motor and intake manifold, 550 pri injc w/ 660 sec injc. Does anyone know if the Microtech unit will do the job.
