Just wondering, it's the last wire I need connect before my microtech is complete THanks guys!

You want to drive the stock tach? You would need to connect to the negative side of one of the leading coils. Then use the pot on the back of the stock tach to adjust it's reading.

ok Thanks a ton Aaron! One question though, you would want them on the leading and not the trailing? Isn't the trailing where most people get the tach signal?

Depends.

Of you are using the X4 box you need to use the tach signal wire coming from the microtech it self which is grey/blue.

if you are not using the x4 box and are using factory coil packs and ignitors it comes off the trailing ignitor.

I know it's the grey/blue wire but I was wondering where I attach it too to get the tach signal. Thanks

2 ways to do it. You can go directly to the back of the dash. use a pinout diagram to find which wire is tacho.
OR


if your factory harness is still in the car. the plug were the trailing ignitor was plugged into. its yellow/blue wire on that harness.(4 pin plug)

so if I'm not using the trailing coils anymore can I still use the yellow/blue wire? IF so awesome and I'll set it up that way today. Thanks.
