I have the flex a lite black magic fan...the temp control switch on it SUCKS....Mines failed multiple times and blows fuses like there's no tomorrow. My buddy went through 3....thankfully flex a lite sent him new ones. Once I have the money I'll pay Karack to wire mine through my LT8s..he said it shouldn't be too hard.

I've used the ford fierroGT fan and it was perfect. It fit the fc radiator perfectly and cooled just as well as the stock fan. The fan motor started making noises when it would turn on so I ended up taking it off and going to aaron cakes website and he recomended a fan from an old 86 oldsmobile. I've had that on my car for a while now and while the fitment isn't perfect like the fierro fan it still cools just as well as the fierro fan.

Easy cheesy. look at this diagram and just change out the water injection pump for the efan and instead of using the white wire for the microtech you will use the white/red.

https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...2&d=1259257232

edit: only other thing you can do is come down from pin 86 with a wire to an on/off switch just incase for some reason the microtech stops working.

Then you just have to go to the fan_on (I believe is what it's called) in the microtech and set what degrees it comes on. I have it set to 86 others set it to 88-90.

lol.

Get your self a Spal 3000CFM fan.

BEST FAN PERIOD..

Next wiring it up is easy.

Get 2 40 amp 4 pin relays.

Wire pin 87 of each relay with a seperate 6.5mm wire straight to the battery.
Send pin 30 off each relay both with a 6.5mm wire straight to the fan and then join them into one at the fan.

Pin 85 off both relays goes to the white/red wire on lt10s. And pin 86 on both relays goes to ignition.AND YOU ARE DONE.

So dumb question but what's the deal with having 2 relays? I'm assuming just incase one dies?

No its not a safety feature.

I have found even though spal say their fan draws 28 amps.

I have one 40amp relay gets very very hot so i changed it to two and they both run cool so i figured one relay wasnt enough. Id rather everything ran 100% then close to border line.

This where theory and actual practice do not meet.

run dual relays in paralell, 2 relays should be able to split the load fairly well without much worry about burning out. be sure to use heavy duty relays, 20+ amps if possible. i do wish 40 amp relays were easier to get locally. overkill is better than having one melt at an inopportune time and in this case bigger is better.

the black magic can easily pull close to that when it kicks on, smaller fans will pull less amperage but that black magic can just about pull the car along with how many CFMs it pulls.

just asking if you could throw me a map for my current setup:
3mm rotors, pinned/balanced/clearanced, Greddy FMIC, stock injectors, Warlboro 255, large streetport, hybrid turbo (larger turbine), 3" full exhaust. Using the LT10s with X4 box and igniters.

Stuff that probably doesnt matter; brand new housings, brand new rotors, 90% of the engine has been powder coated.

btw; im going to scrap the blackmagic ... not flowing enough. going taurus efan.

the black magic isn't flowing enough for a small(ish) hybrid turbo? something is wrong there..
