The LT8 comes standard with a 20 PSI MAP sensor. The 3 Bar MAP option replaces the 20 PSIg sensor with one that can read up to 30 PSIg. If you need to run more than 20 PSI, or wish to be able to control when boost spikes occur, it's the 3 Bar for you.

So what your saying is, It's used to run up to 30 psi boost? I don't meed that. I should be able to make all the power w/less then 20pis of boost. So, I guess I don't need it. Cool.

If you have an external and it ever goes bad you can go to any GM dealer and get the GN boost sensor, cause that's what it is. If your internal one goes bad you've got to send your whole computer back to Microtech (or Brandon) and wait...
