Microtech way to test the cas?

way to test the cas?
hey all i got a 89 tII with a microtech thats not getting a rpm signal. i tested the wires coming form the the cas to the computer and they got continuity(or there connected/carring a signal). is there any way for me to test the cas to see if its still good or not?
