wacky idle surge

I'm not sure if this is an issue with my microtech or if it's mechanical...

The idle usually holds at about 1k rpms...today it jumped to 1500 and peaked at 2k...
It's freaking me out because the idle isn't droppind to 1k when I hit the clutch.

Maybe stuck primary injectors?

Stuck injectors would drown the car in fuel. You would have no idle, and a trail of fuel out the exhaust (if it even ran).

Check for a vacuum leak, or a stuck throttle cable.

could be something hanging up on the throttle arm or it's just sticky, try pushing the throttle closed manually and see if it isn't just sticking.
