vacuum reading 5" off

I noticed with the car not running it reads a 5" vacuum and also is that far off compared to the autometer gauge at any time, is there any way to fix this? It's an LT-8s

What is your altitude? The farther you are above sea level the lower your map signal will read, due to the fact that there is not as much atmosphereic pressure. I would not trust the autometer guage over a map sensor, but I would double check that you map sensor is working properly anyway...
