underdrive pulleys and low voltage...

so ive played around with my water/crank maps to compensate for lean cold starts... however it still runs like a bag of crap no matter what temp. and i notice it when my alternator isnt putting out 14+ volts (initial start when voltage is hanging around 12-13v) is there anyway around this? besides changing pulleys so my alternator spins faster.?

And that's the problem with underdrive pulleys. They are not for street use due to the low alternator output at low RPMs.

As far as the rest of it running like crap, that's just tuning.

Exactly, same thing here. After i start mine i give it to about 3k for a second and that takes care of my voltage problem . It does seem to idle differently afterwards as well, which seems odd. Aaron, perhaps increased voltage to ignition and fuel pumps is the culprit?

you have to check the connector on the back of the alternator. it makes it kick in once you start the car
