Timing Issue

I lined up the mark on the pulley, I alligned the CAS and stabbed it properly. My assumption was that when I locked the timing I might have a small adjustment to make but because the CAS was stabbed correctly and the pulley line up it would be a small adjustment.

It is WAY off however, I will have to re-stab the CAS in order to make the proper adjustment. Is this normal?

I have had this issue before, it can be quite a time consuming issue to get it in the right sport.

if in any doubts send Jon at rx engineering a email and ask him the question he is the man when it comes to setting timing

Thanks Dale

I assumed when you locked the timing it would zero itself before locking. It appears this is not always the case. I should make sure there are no timing corrections being made, then lock the timing. This should help my senario.

when you put on the timing lock it takes out all corrections,

if it is not lined up with the lock on you need to adjust the CAS so it does line up
