Question running untuned

I was wondering if anyone ran the LXT12s system untuned. If so what mods?
I am thinking about tis or the pfc, but I can't get it tuned for at least 3 months. Any info will help.

I ran an LT8 partially tuned for a while, and it sucks. It's not good for your seals, it's not good for spark plugs, and the amount of money you spend on gas isn't good for your wallet.

It depends on the mods you have done. You buy a Microtech suited for a particular engine, and it comes with a base map. This base map assumes the car is basically stock.

If you are making more power than stock, then you could run the risk of blowing your motor.

You really won't know what the car is doing... You could run really rich or lean in some spots and cause damage. If you won't be tuned for at least another week, don't drive the car, or at least don't get into boost.

Ni5mo180SX - There aren't many certified Microtech tuners in the area. I know fc3s.org will tune it, but they are in SD? I think. If anything, I may be able to help you tune it. I just got my wideband, and am pretty sufficient with the Microtech laptop software. Anyways, I sent you a PM, so let me know.

Is your base setup configured for 550s? If so, you won't have a problem hitting 4 pounds of boost, your car will just run like garbage.

Does Microtech even send out ECU's that are configured for anything other than stock injectors?

I haven't seen them do anything other than stock-like configurations from the factory; but in my case, I bought a unit from someone else, and had to reset things for my 550s.
