Quick timing question
I stabbed my cas dead on the yellow mark, but when i went to go check timing with my light it was way advanced so i did the timing lock and knocked the cas back till its dead on yellow again when running.
Now when i line up the pulley with the yellow mark, the teeth ontop of the cas are not diagonal where its sopppose to be.
Do i need to restab my cas even though at idle my timing is dead on the yellow mark or does mocrotech not care?

gear position will not be the same as the stock ECU when timing the microtech with the timing lock on. the CAS is always advanced compared to stock when i time them.
in short the reluctor points toward the sensor, not the corner of it as it would on a stock old slow drag *** ECU.
stab the CAS as you normally would>set timing lock and idle the engine>adjust the CAS to the leading right mark off any leading plug wire>turn off timing lock>done
some people use TDC(with aftermarket pulleys with no 5/20 marks) to time the engine but you would have to keep in mind you need to pull out 5* of timing from traditional maps to compensate for it.
