Problems with fuel while cranking

Hi,

I have a plug n play LT8 for my 3rd gen, and have been using it for over a year. But yesterday I had a problem just starting the car after I pulled over to the side of the road (to answer a call on my mobile). The compression on the motor is good, it makes 8psi boost on a GT35/40 turbo and pulls strongly.

I connected up my laptop to the LT8, and while the motor is cranking, the "status" value just switches between IDLE and CRANK. In fact, the status reads IDLE without the engine actually running! Is this right? The TPS is adjusted correctly (and displays the * character). But the injector time next to the status display reads 4.76ms and this happens when 'datalogged' too, with the engine ignition on but NOT cranking. I don't remember this happening before! In fact, if I adjust the %stage parameter then this 4.76ms changes with %stage value.

I have wideband in the car and can see that precious little fuel is being injected (if any) when cranking. The wideband reads 20+ so this confirms my suspicions. I remember having to adjust the 'Crank map' when the LT8 was first installed, because it was too rich and the wideband was 9.0-9.4 AFR so I know what to expect when flooding the engine with fuel.

I used the Test Mode in the 'config' parameter and I could feel both the primary (550cc) and secondary injectors (1600cc) pulsing.

Any ideas what is happening here guys?

Thanks,

Adrian
