LT can be controlled via laptop and has neato datalogging features (laptop only!).

In other words, you want the LT.
Another question, is the only diff between the LT and LTX is the coils?

Thinking right now, there is no need for me to get the coils -- I should be good on stock coils for at least 400hp...

yeah me to. The stock coils & the MSD 6a on the leadings should be fine?

When you say "laptop only" is that just for dattaloging?
I can use the hand controller with the LT, is that right?

What's the diff. in the LT-8 and the LT-12?

Will I need to still run w/ the boost sensor?

what impedance injector should be used?

how ajustable is the injector duty cycle? what % at what rpm ponts?

How much can the timeing be retarded when under boost? Or, is that in the diff. maps?

I don't know crap about this =(

oh, what about setting the sec. injectors kick on point? Could I set them to come on at any rpm? say....2900rpm

What's the change over (when they come on-line) like? smooth?

The MT is a 2D-fuel ECU. The LT is switchable between 2D (for initial setup and base tuning) and 3D. The LT also supports a computer interface.

Yes, the only difference between the LT8 and LTX8 or LT12 and LTX12 is that the "X" ECUs are set up for Bosch coils. The stock FC coils are good to at least 400 hp.

The laptop is a much cleaner interface, but the hand controller is very nice for on-road tuning and last-minute touch-ups to the map. The laptop software is what you use if you want datalogging.

The LT8 has four injector and four coil drivers, while the LT12 has six of each. The LT12 can be set up to run a 13B, however.

Being a speed-density system, they all use a MAP sensor. The units come stock with a 20 PSI unit, but it can be upgraded to a 30 PSI sensor.

The ECUs can drive injectors down to 1.5-2.5 Ohm.

Read http://www.team140.net/modules.php?n...rticle&artid=5 for more technical info.

Brandon,

You said before that the Lt can program for more Outputs. How many can you add and how much will it cost to do that? Basically, what if you want to control the A/C, BAC or Water injection system? Can it be done?

Thanks

The LT ECUs have one actual output wire, but it has two functions, either as a PWM, or as a binary output. It also has one auxiliary input, which can modify the ECU's behaviour in a number of ways. It can act as a boost controller, idle control solenoid, thermo switch, etc.

So if for some crazy reason I get over 400hp eventually, should I have bought the LTx8 to begin with? in other words, is it just a matter of upgrading the coils w/ the lt8 later or what?

My big thing is I don't want to spend big money on something only to outgrow it later...

You will soon be able to send ECUs back to us to have them reconfigured, instead of shipping them all the way to Australia. All you'd need to do is send it back to us, and for a nominal charge and the cost of the coils, we'd send you back an LTX8
