Today my car died idling in my driveway, the handset displays like 10 black squares when the ignition is on. It usually displays like Microtech Program 13B-T ver. 2.0 blah blah. the ECU is the older Microtech Digi 2 plus.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? or has old age settled in, and I need a new ECU?

I bought this car back in september and dont know much about microtechs, I've read the manual but thats about it. Can anyone one offer and troubleshooting advice or procedures?

I have seen the handsets do this on the LT8 if there is a short somewhere. I.E. on an LTX8 the tach output was touching one of the coil signals and it caused this. I would say check your wiring first.
