Microtech Harness

Just been busy with preparing everything to accept the Microtech Harness, but their are a couple of things that I dont understand.

1) I remove the stock ECU, tap into the engine harness and connect it to my LTX8, wouldnt it be safer and easier to connect directly to the sensors, coils and injector? and wrap it with heat resistant tape?

2) What do I do with all loose connectors which are were I took out the factory ECU, do I wire em up on some way or not????

3) What gauges do work with the Microtech. I know the tach works, I do premix, but does my speedo work?

If anybody could help me out would be great.
