I cant find nothing on the microtech forum but a local race shop say to me that the ecus are not interchangable because the intarnals are diferent

it doesnt sound logical because halltech works for all cars and you only need the base maps

Try Microtechusa.com. Open Lt series install manual. It should work on a rotary, 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder piston engine.

an ECU is like a computer. a computer is nothing without an operating system. so the ECU only works depending on the specific base map for the specific vehicle. i could be wrong tho, but this is how i understand it. i think u did the same thing i've been looking to do. buy a used ECU, reguardless of the car it was used on, and reload it with a base map for my application.

No. You need to send it back to Microtech.

look what i found in the manual lt pdf

Config= The Config screen is used to select the configuration of the engine; use the ADJ buttons to display the
number of cylinders, 1 to 8. 10A, 12A or 13B Mazda rotary engines are set up as 4 cylinder, 20B rotary
engines are set up as 6 cylinder. The MT ECU now incorporates a diagnostic self-checker. If the value in
the Config screen is set to 0, the computer will shut off the fuel pump and simulate the engine running at
1800rpm. The injectors (and the spark plugs in ignition control set-ups) will be pulsed, allowing you to easily
check whether the MT ECU is functioning correctly. While in self-check mode, the MicroTech Handset will
display the message Check TEST ON.

The problem is that the ignition setup and sensors are totally different. It's likely that the Honda uses a different water temp senor, and it certainly uses a different air temp sensor. And then there are the ignition outputs. Either two or three for the Honda, but 3 (remember the trailing toggle!) for the 2nd gen.
