LT-8 install runs for 30 seconds at any rpm. fuel pump wire?

I installed an LT-8 this weekend and double checked all my wires and made sure to go by the colors on the actual piece instead of the connector. Everything seems to be working: in test mode I can here the injectors, I haven't actually checked for spark (rpm gauge in dash works though) though timing was set to the mark with the stock ecu before switching, looks like all the sensors are working including the TPS.
I pulled +12V ingnition from the fuel pump relay connector in the engine bay (microtech stays on so must be fine), and I pulled power from the wires to my Jacobs Rotary pack (14 gauge wire) which has a 30 amp fuse and is wired directly to the battery. I then spliced into the red and pink wires on the microtech for the Bosch relay and ran a 14 guage to the back of the car. I hooked into the blue wire right on top of the fuel pump plate under the carpet, is this the correct blue wire or was there a color change after the chassis connector? Left the others connected.
The car starts and runs for about 30 seconds maybe less no matter if I try to hold it at a higher rev or idle (which it does), then it starts to bog and dies. I've double checked the relay connections as it sounds like a fuel pump problem. And the relay doesn't click off until it does die as far as I can tell. Not sure if it's priming or not.

Anything I may have missed or any ideas?

oh yeah, one minor question my kit didn't have a connector for the Bosch relay, is it supposed to and can I get one at an auto parts store or something, right now it's just soldered to the pins and taped.

Fixed

I found the problem, if you connect at the pump instead of the connector the wire is black and white not blue as it changes color though there is a blue one. No clue what was running the pump for 10 seconds but now it's fine.
