Learning to Tune

Well i posted earlier about finding someone to tune an rx7 in alaska, i have a good feeling thats not going to work. So i was wondering if their were any class's on tuning, or if someone could teach me to tune. If someone that has experiance with LT8S would be interested in something like this send me a PM, i would be looking to do this in about 4 weeks, any other help would be appreciated..

well the way i learned was by just hooking up the laptop and ******* with the settings. i dont think anyone can just teach me this stuff because i wont absorb it as well as doing it myself. also read the manual it comes in handy.

BTW you can download the manual here: http://www.geocities.com/rexryder8/Mthelp.hlp and it's only like 160kb so 56k=ok

one thing is for sure, you will want to have a wideband. just gradually turn the boost up and keep an eye on your AFRs. IF they go higher then you desire, then you need to let off the gas and adjust them.

Hey Rex, I'd like a copy of that help file too but it looks like Geocities is cutting you off. If you email it to me (john@twistedrotors.com) then I'll host it through my site and toss it back up here. :-)

www.efi101.com <- they are hosting a class in dec. in washington. I am a graduate and it was the best money I ever spent, its in your best interest to find a way to get there...

Hope to see you there as I am going through the 101 class again.

Got it, thanks. Looks like a neat file...beats having to carry the manual around everywhere. And here it is as promised!

So yeah i hope the class teaches me alot as im not familiar with tuning, and i did download the manual but i really didn't understand how that was supposed to help me, maybe i downloaded the wrong one all it did was explain each of the imput options, and the the functions of microtech... Maybe i just need to go to the class
