Well, my lt-8 just came in. Now about the laptop adapter........... Where can I get one? Can I get one from the computer store, or does Microtech specifically make it? Does it cross certain pin in the adapter or something? Ive search and all ive found is the software and the adapter for around $100. I dont want to spend $100 for a little adapter.

 

you have to get it from microtech. There are pins moved around. If you have enough time i'm sure you could probably make one, but it does allow you to save 4 maps to the dongle.

 

Ok, so the adapter has internal memory, How do you acses the maps? Form the laptop only, or can you get them while its pluged into the microtech only? Wouldnt you be able to save maps onto the laptop?
