Highway tuning my LT8

So i took my car to the freeway this morning around 4am. Started my boost around 9psi with current maps, everything was fine. I then tuned to 14psi with wideband reading 11-11.5 accross the rpm's pulled crazy. Anyhow after releasing my foot off the gas on WOT letting it idle, the rpm just shot down till the engine turned off. I than turn it back on with no problems. But everytime i WOT the engine dies after i let the throttle go? what do you guys think it is? TPS is calibrated, maps looks good with no error messages. Could it be timing?

you using the decel fuel cut feature? you could also be slightly lean on your low RPM/idle map in the 10-15" range.

The idle map may be lean.
If the decel cut feature is on switch it off.

ANd what spark plugs are you using?

well i tried on WOT again last night @18psi damn its heaven on this side of boost. For some reason this time it did not shut off on me. I increased my idle map only by 2+ points. The plugs i am using are the colder ngk's 10=Leads and 11-Trails.

The plugs are your problem?

Are they b10egv and b11egv?

Get R7420 10.5

PM RICE RACING on ausrotary.com or RX_HEAVEN_WA on here. Both can help you out.

The fact that you bumped up your idle and it helped, means your idle was too lean to begin with.

The plugs i have is the one that starts with R746?? not b10 or 11's. This was never a problem before using these same plugs until i retuned my upper boost tuning. I did also notice that on a stand still playing with the throttle, i can make my exhaust backfire at around 2500k-3k. I must have adjusted something on the LT8 for this "Flu" to start affecting these little issue's. But the upside the car pulls and runs great. I am going back to the drawing board and check to see what i did different.

the backfiring is from a lean 25-30" range idle map if your TPS is adjusted properly, i'm guessing you somehow leaned out most of your idle maps while playing with the idle settings.
