Got my A/C working
I just got my AC working. I was going through the FSM last night and with a little confermation from brandon I decided I knew what to do to get the A/C working. In the ECU plug that is left after you pull the engine harness out look for a blue and orange and blue and white wire, all you need to do is get both of these wires +12V, I did this, started the car and got cold air.
The Blue and white wire is going to the main AC relay and providing the compressor magnetic cluth power the blue and orange provides power to the pressure and temp switches for the AC.
The compressor clutch will need to be turned off for hi RPM and WOT so you can wire it into the Microtech inputs/outputs to turn on/off orjust make sure you turn it off.
I DO NOT KNOW THE LONG TERM AFFECTS OF THIS YET, BUT IT LOOKS TO WORK DON"T BLAME ME IF YOU MELT YOU DRIVERS SIDE HARNESS LOOKING AT THIS. Check out pages 15 - 18 in the section on heating and AC in the FSM.

Even easier.
Just tie the BLUE/ORANGE and BLUE/WHITE wires together on that plug. I just used a small piece of wire and stuck it in there. You dont need 12v.
Now lets get the BAC working ????

Just make sure that when your blower fan for heating/cooling fan is off, the compressor is not running. If it is still running, it will freeze the blower fan if left for a while. This happened to me.

just bumping and updating
I got my std Efan to come on only when my a/c is switched on and the heater blower/fan is running (as per stock) and best of all it too all of 2 mins to do, all solded and taped up!!
All you need to do is tap into the trigger wire for the a/c relay (Both relays are at the front of the car) and connect it to the trigger of the e-fan relay (removing the orignal input)
The FSM shows these clearly and if you take them out of there rubber dust boots they have the pins printed on them.
very easy and worthwhile mod!

Ok...I am having the A/C problem. I have a 91 N/A convertible 5 spd and I don't have the "Blue/orange" wire. I looked at the FSM and I couldn't make sense of it.
Could some one please tell me wich wires I need to hook up?
Thanks
Steve
