fuel pump relay

I've basically completed wiring in my lt-8, but im having a slight problem with the fuel pump relay.

For an 88 NA body with an 87 TII engine in, which wire goes to 87 pin on the relay from the battery and which wire runs to the 30 pin? I need to know a.s.a.p. because I need this car to get to work.

Thanks for any and all help.

Keep this in mind for later: There is a diagram on the side of the relay.
85 & 86 operate the switch inside. So just ground one of the terminals, and the other terminal gets a switched 12V+ source (aka: ignition).
30 gets a CONSTANT 12V+ source (aka: battery)
Both 87's are accessory terminals. So, in your case, hook up the positive (+) wire that goes from your fuel pump to one of the 87 terminals.

That's good info, but it's nothing I didn't know before.

What I'm looking for is what color the wires that I need to hook up. I've checked the wires to see which one is the constant 12v and which is the one that only sees voltage when the car is in the ON position. I only get voltage to either of them when the car is in the ON position. I'm getting ~11v constantly on the blue wire and anywhere from 2-10 inconsistantly on the red wire.

So all I'm really looking for here is: what color is the wire in the stock rear wiring harness that would be the direct connection to the battery on a 88 NA and what color is the wire that runs to the positive terminal of the fuel pump to the fuel pump connector on a stock rear wiring harness on the 88 NA?

Sorry for the overly long phrasing, but people always misunderstand and give me info that's not neccessarily wrong, it's just not what I want to know.

Once again,
Thanks and Cheers.

where do you have the red wire tied in? it shouldn't read less than 12 volts with a good charge on the battery. it's not a difficult circuit to wire up, red(30) goes to the battery or engine bay fuse box, pink and green off the microtech go to the control circuit(86/85) and whatever color wire you choose to run directly to the fuel pump(87).

red should see 12+ volts at all times except while cranking.
pink should only see 9-12 volts with the ignition on.
green should be grounded with the ignition on.
and circuit 87 goes to the fuel pump(originally a blue wire).

if you are getting less than 12 volts at the red wire then you need to find a better source for the battery + voltage to it.
