can i go sooner than that? it seems to make the stop start a little choppy like i dont know how to drive a clutch. haha

rx72c 04-20-08 06:09 PM

Yes you can.

What youll find is it needs more fuel under the stage point.
Go to the RPM wot points in the 1000 and 500 put another 8-9%+

dean23 04-21-08 02:26 PM

well hte stage point didnt make any difference, but what hg" level do you have the secondaries kick on? 5hg?

rx72c 04-21-08 06:23 PM

02hg.

dean23 04-24-08 08:48 PM

at 2hg there seems to bee too much of a fuel difference. i gave it a try at 00hg and so far so good .

rx72c 04-25-08 04:40 AM

Nice. Keep us up to date.

RX7 13B 4 UR AZZ 04-27-08 09:36 PM

alright RX72c you seem to have alot of experience tunning rx-7's with the microtech im going to be running a 13b-re with maybe a gt-40 or a T04Z turbo and im going with 720 cc primaries and 1600 cc secondaries. Now do you have a map that i can use as a base for this setup? and will i be able to get semi decent fuel economy with this setup. and what tips can you provide for this setup.

Thanks in advance
Chris

rx72c 04-28-08 06:45 AM

With the 1600cc injector it will be more difficult to obtain "excellent" fuel economy but their is no reason why it cant be descent.
If you have access to a dyno you can really trim it down in matrix mode.
I have a map that can you get started.

RX7 13B 4 UR AZZ 04-28-08 10:12 PM

can there be like you said 3 stages of injectors like a 550 a 720 then in heavy boost kick in the 1600's? could the microtech LT10s do this? or would a AIC be in order. and if you can post that map so i can save it i will appreciate it

RX7 13B 4 UR AZZ 04-28-08 10:20 PM

really if i can get 20-25 mpg highway i will be happy since im not going to be driving the car much but would like to take it to work (80 mile round trip) and not burn a hole in my wallet.

rx72c 04-29-08 12:38 AM

You can do 3 stages but you must order the microtech to suit.

RX7 13B 4 UR AZZ 04-29-08 06:27 PM

can i send the ecu to microtech and can i send my ecu to get the wideband upgrade?

rx72c 04-30-08 06:48 AM

Yes you can.

zeaone 04-30-08 08:10 AM

How much for this upgrade and also will it work with lm1 or do i have to use microtech one

rx72c 04-30-08 05:44 PM

Last time i checked it was $150 AUD.

I would use the microtech one. I have never had 100% success mixing the lm-1 with the microtech.

RX7 13B 4 UR AZZ 05-01-08 12:55 AM

the wideband upgrade is listed as $600 AUS but i got quoted $561 fore the wideband upgrade and some ecu reconfiguration.

rx72c 05-01-08 07:34 AM

For $561 its not just the upgrade, but the 02 sensor and the whole thing all together.

i got an idea for some matrix tuniing but i dont know how well it will work out...

but hers the idea.

primaries on all the time, with secondaries kicking on at 3000rpm. the map stage will be set as low as posible, so right at 3, no matter what, the secondaries will be on.

would this be a good step toward fuel econ, or just a pain in the ass?

rx72c 05-03-08 07:36 PM

The rpm will give you problems. From what ive found trying to bring the secondaries on that late gives you either a huge lean spot or a huge rich spot and lots of hesitation around that area.
But by all means. Try it. And if you get it to work. Then it could definitely work well.

and have the same exact problems

u can c on my dyno slip lean and rich spot

need to get me a laptop asap still @ 13mpg
:(

rx72c 05-04-08 04:44 AM

Bring it on at 1320 rpm. With fine tuning you should get it pretty good.

dean23 05-04-08 09:29 AM

laptop will definately help tony. and nice numbers by te way

tony94s4 05-04-08 08:00 PM

thanx dean,

got the adapter but gaved away my laptop,

1st couple tanks I was 9-10mpg, my buddy
tuned the the car for load and then he started
cleaning up on matrix

and my luck the wide band died on the dyno
we were using and we called it a day

at least I got couple miles more per galon
drivebility much better but still hesitations

rx72c 05-04-08 09:00 PM

Keep working on it.
it will come good.
