Unhappy Discouraged

I haven't even got my MICROTECH yet and I am starting to have bad feelings.

1. My unit has been in Austraillia for a month now getting an upgrade, now I am waiting on a wire harness before it is shipped.

->> Whatever happened to the 3-4 day turn-around that was quoted here when the "Buy a Microtech" Hype was started.

2. I ask a simple question about wiring and it hasn't even been answered.

It my sound like a lot of whining, but I call it like I see it. IT Does not appear that Microtechs Customer service is all that the Aussies say it is.

I feel your pain. This whole Microtech thing is really starting to get to me. I mean friggin' a, it's August 6th and we haven't seen anything yet. First it was beginning of July, then came an excuse. Then it was middle of July, then another excuse. The excuses keep coming, but theres a big problem, the Microtechs don't. I really hope that Microtech can turn around, because I will never want to deal with them again and I won't recommend anyone to there sevices, because of how poor they run things.

The bad part is I shipped mine to AUS in JUNE.

The stupid thing on my part is I went and bought another MTX-12 that needs to be sent back for an upgrade.

Hmmm

Brandon said the first wave would arrive the 1st or 4th of August and that after that it would be 3-5 business days. That brings us to the 11th at the VERY latest. Today is the 6th so it's still within his estimate. There is very little he can do about customs. It's a total crap shoot these days. I have been bringing stuff up from the states and Australia and there seems to be NO consistancy with the delay at custom's.

As for banzai I guess I can't really make a comment except to say when I ordered my Microtech direct from Microtech and not a group buy that they were very helpfull and I recieved my order in very little time.

May I also point out the forum has been a bit funky lately and maybe those with the answers your looking for have found it hard to post any info.

We understand your pain, guys, and you've not been left out in the cold, trust me. The first batch of Microtechs are being packaged now, and you should start seeing happy "I got my Microtech today" posts very soon (we wanted to suprise people).

banzaitoyota, I'll call Jon personally and see what's up with your ECU, cool? Microtech's been absolutely slammed lately, and Dom's just had a baby girl, so things got backed up over there, but they're supposed to have been smoothed out by now.

Last I heard from JOn, they were still waiting on the harness. It is supposed to have been there today, and I haven't heard from them and TODAY is over in AUS.

Welcome to the wonderful world of horrible overseas customer support from an Australian business. Haltech and Wolf are also bad, so it's not just Microtech. Terrorism, SARS, and union problems with the American dock workers have made things worse recently. Just hang in there, and try to understand that it's just par for the course when dealing with Australia.

I hope you didn't ship it without insurance in the usual Australian scam to avoid tariffs.
