Exclamation connecting with windows vista

hey guys i have been using an older laptop because i cant seem to connect with windows vista. The program opens and then as soon as i attempt to connect to the microtech the program freezes and then eventually i have to exit. I know the doggle and everything works perfect on the older laptop so i know it has to be a windows vista issue.

Anyone have any experience with vista and microtech?

thanks for the help in advance too bad the microtech website forums are down

I had the same problem with Vista in the past. I think if you right click and check the properties you can run it in XP mode. It still didn't work very well for me. I would recommend sticking to the old laptop.

I have no problem with vista. I found most people are having problems with their usb to serial convertor.

i had the same problem and it was cured by downloading a different usb driver. i don't remember exactly which one, but basically windows 7 needs all different drivers from previous windows.
