coil upgrade and compatability of AEM
Hi everyone,
Hoping someone can help me out, have tried searching through threads but haven't found what i need to know.
I'm want to upgrade my coils, i currently have bosch Hec 715 coils run by a LTX-8 and am trying to avoid using a CDI to improve spark.
Car runs on E85 and tuned to 22 psi but wanting to increase boost and wanting to run upto 28psi.
Have been reading a lot about the aem ign coils but not sure about their compatability with the LTX due to the internal ignitor and outputs.
will the aem dumb coils be an improvement over the bosch??
or is it possible to use the smart coil and bypass the internal ignitors of the microtech.
Thanks

Uhh, why haven't you gapped your plugs differently? 0.018" should be good for that much pressure.
