Car wont start, sudden electrical problem...
Hey guys, my 86' gxl wont start all of a sudden, for the past 6 months it's been fine without and problems at all. In the past few days however i've been having an electrical glitch?? or possible failure to hardware..
When i turn the key to start the engine, no power is getting to my starter motor, i'm not sure if it is on it's way out or what but last night the car started just fine. Than again this morning i went to start it and Nothing happend. Just a note the battery and altenator are brand new.
I recall a few of the customers cars doing this when I was employed at Mazsport, i just can't remember what the problem was. Anyone have a clue?
P.S, my car has an Lt-8, for reference.

'86s should not have a starter cut switch on the clutch, so that's probably not it.
Measure at the starter solenoid when you turn the key to START and make sure you see 12V at the black/yellow thin wire, and 12V at the big wire from the battery. If that is the case, the starter is hosed.
