back firing

I have just finished installing a microtech LT10 and have used my original coils. It starts but back fires alot( heaps). What could be causing this?

Lt10? Do you mean Lt12?

Backfiring when and how? Could be anything from fuel, to timing, to "you need a tune-up"...

Does it rev up freely, and normally?

Lt10 in, Lt8 out

No the LT10 is the replacement for the LT8. It has 2 xtra aux out puts plus another input mainly

are you getting backfiring through the intake or through the exhaust?

yes the LT10s is the replacment for the LTX8, there are no more LTX8s being made,

the LT10s has 3 aux outputs, 2 inputs, standard ign booster etc,

the 3 outputs are set to run idle motor, fan and a programmable,
