Microtech Air sensor issues!
Air sensor issues!
For some reason my air temp sensor started flicking differant temps... from 25deg to -15 back to 30deg and back and forth etc... some times the microtech reads error on the screen and sometimes not. i got another air temp sensor and installed it. now the air temp says -00deg, which is no reading and it says error on the error check. i swapped it back to the original sensor and now that doesn't even give a reading. it now says -00deg aswell. Any ideas? i might put a multimeter on the plug to tell me if its the plug or the sensor? anyone had similar problems??

Probably the harness plug. You can try contact cleaner and dielectric grease to clean it up, but there's almost no point when you can just easily replace it. Mazda chose a really weird plug for the 2nd gens (assuming that's what you are referring to) that corrodes like crazy...
Also having a air temp sensor problem, its reading 90C when the car is off and had not been run.
Started it for the first time tonight, initially it was 90C then went to 94C after 5min of idling.
It only about 15C here today.
Either bad wiring or bad sensor?

Probably a bad sensor.
I'm starting to think that more and more FCs are showing up with bad air temp sensors...I've seen 3 or 4 in the last month, including mine.
